Go read this for real!

This has a lot of really fucking good points, but it gets a little cliche` at times. It’s functioning on the assumption that all participants in mass culture are little braindead sheeple. Which, sure, is true for a slight majority. But I think it smacks of the “you lazy kids” sentiment. Yes, magic is work. Big, scary, hard work that I admit I haven’t even started because I know it will drive me to my death to do that kind of work along with all of my academic commitments (whether that is a good thing is left to tell). So reader beware, some vitriolic commentary lies ahead, but it’s still worth your read. Especially if you’re one of those struggling with doubt (so, like, almost everyone). And don’t cuss ME out if you don’t like it.

So happy that someone else has admitted that magic is terrifying and time-consuming and they have no time to commit.   I feel like inside me and outside me are forever at odds because of my schedule.
